12 Associations in Iligan receives “Livelihood Assistance” from LGU

Iligan City, Philippines – 10 Farmer’s associations and 2 Alternative Learning Centers received “Livelihood Assistance” from the Local Government Unit of Iligan City during a livelihood assistance awarding ceremony held at the City Development and Livelihood Office the other day.
The livelihood assistance which came in the form of wheel burrows, shovels, trowels, water hoses, knapsack sprayers and LPG set are just a few of the assistance that the LGU of Iligan is giving away to the different associations in Iligan City.
According to Committee Chairman on Livelihood City Councillor Roy L. Openiano this is a part of the local government’s livelihood program that is focussing on farmers and fishermen associations.
The 12 groups or associations who received the livelihood assistance were; Green Crops Pugaan Farmer’s Association, Digkilaan Entrepreneur Association, Alternative Learning Center-Iligan City National High School, Kabangahan/Rogongon Farmer’s Association, 5P’s Tipanoy, Santiago 5P’s Gardener Association, Iligan Abaca Growers Farmer’s Association (Digkilaan), Barangay Farmers of Lanipao, Bayanihan Association (Sta. Filomena), Upper Tominobo Banana and Fisher Folks Association (Upper Tominobo), Alternative Learning Center Quarridor Association (Wago, Hinaplanon) ug Bayug Island Aquamarine Fisherfolks Association.(with reports from Rafael Closas/IliganWeb/Photo Credit to Arthur Sabilla) - From iligan.gov.ph
